Bees are welcome!
Do you like honey and know how important bees are to us? Then you could welcome them with a particularly beautiful home.

Materials
Large tin can; 2 crown caps; black, white and yellow paint; string;
6 yellow buttons with holes through which the string fits; black foam rubber; thin wooden logs; giant reed tubes; cones; stitching awl or nail; hot glue

Method
- Paint the tin can yellow. Depending on the opacity, you may need to repeat the process. Do not paint the bottom of the can, where the face will be later, as you will be placing the can on the floor to dry.
- You can paint the eyes (crown caps) white.
- While the paint is drying, you can prepare the bee's legs. Insert a piece of string into one of the buttonholes for each leg and tie a knot.

- Cut the logs and giant reed tubes so that they are all the same length.
- Draw the wings on black foam rubber and cut them out.
- As soon as the yellow paint is dry, you can paint the black stripes on the bee's body and the black dot on the eyes.

- When the can is dry, use an awl or nail to drill the holes for the legs.
- Pull the strings with the «button feet» through the holes and fasten them with a knot. Do the same for the hanging device on the back (here you need two holes and two sufficiently long strings).
- Glue the wings to the back.
- Now you can finally paint the bottom of the can (face) yellow. As soon as the yellow paint is dry, glue on the eyes (crown caps). Now draw in the mouth with black paint.
- The last step is to fill the bee house with the prepared logs, giant reed tubes and cones. Now the bee hotel is ready, and the bees can move in.

Tip
If possible, hang the bee hotel in a place where bee-friendly flowers and plants grow so that the bees feel attracted to it.
