A fairy tale made of Swiss chocolate
Like all beautiful fairy tales, this one is based on a love story and begins with «once upon a time...». Once upon a time, there was a watchmaker who fell in love with the daughter of a Geneva chocolate manufacturer. When he married her, he took up the tradition of chocolate making, learned the secrets of the chocolatier's craft from his father-in-law, and later took over the company. The love of Swiss chocolate has been passed down through the family for generations, along with high standards of quality, texture, and taste.
Avelines - a declaration of love for hazelnuts
Avelines were created in 1922. The pralines owe their name to the exquisite combination of chocolate and hazelnuts, botanically known as Corylus avellana. Only the best hazelnuts were selected to be delicately coated in chocolate and combined with a selection of the finest natural cocoa ingredients to create delicious pralines. This is still the case today. Each Avelines praline is unique in its recipe. The exquisite composition contains only the very best ingredients, such as cocoa beans from carefully selected origins, Swiss whole milk, delicately roasted hazelnuts, almonds, and real ground Bourbon vanilla from Madagascar.
Sustainable - thanks to the «All Natural» initiative
Finally, sustainability is also anchored in Avelines' DNA. The «All Natural» initiative covers four important areas of sustainability: the use of exclusively natural ingredients, 100% Fairtrade Max Havelaar certified cocoa, the conscious avoidance of palm oil, and 100% climate neutrality thanks to CO2 emissions offsetting.
