Garland materials
Materials
Various greenery and berry sprigs; thick cord or rope; cones; wire; winding wire.
Method
  1. Cut a piece of cord approx. 1.5 m long.
  2. Attach wire to the lower end of the cones and twist it closed.
  3. Attach the wire pieces of the cones to one end of the cord.
  4. Cut the greenery and berry sprigs into small pieces.
  5. Attach the winding wire to the cord.
  1. Take a tuft of greenery and berry sprigs, place it over the ends of the cones and attach it to the cord with winding wire.
  2. Repeat this step.
  3. Twist the cord as you work so that the tufts are attached all the way round.
  4. Leave the stems of the greenery and berry branches a little longer on the last tuft.
  1. When the garland is long enough, cut the wire and tuck it into the greenery. Now cut the slightly longer stems to the same length after approx. 5-10 cm to create a nice end.
  2. Use another piece of cord to cover the area where you can still see the wire.
  3. Then tie a knot and let the ends hang down casually.
  4. You can use the 1.5 m of cord left over as a hanger.
Tip
Go for a walk in the garden or in nature and collect anything that looks nice when dried. This could be grasses or inflorescence. This will give your garland a personal touch.
