Candles that you can't get in any store
What would our everyday life be without candles? They light up our minds and turn everyday moments into very special ones. These candles are particularly beautiful.
Material
Variant 1: candle; pine needles; rechaud candle; spoon; ribbon or string.
Variant 2: candle; pressed flowers and/or leaves; spoon; rechaud candle.
Method variant 1
- Cut the pine needles in advance so that they cover approx. 2/3 of the candle.
- Heat the spoon over the rechaud candle, place the pine needles on the candle and run the heated spoon over them. The heat warms the wax and the needles stick. Of course, you can only process a few needles at a time.
- Sometimes the procedure has to be repeated twice as the wax cools quickly.
- Once the entire candle is covered with needles, you can wrap a nice ribbon or string around it and make a pretty bow.
Method variant 2
- Press the flowers or leaves that you want to attach to the candle in advance. It works well with delicate, thin flowers or leaves.
- Then heat the spoon over the rechaud candle, place the leaf or flower on the candle and run the heated spoon over it. This heats the wax underneath and the flower or leaf sticks.
- Sometimes the procedure has to be repeated twice as the wax cools quickly.
- As an alternative, you can also run the heated spoon over the candle until the wax becomes liquid and then stick the flower (or leave) on.
Tip
Do not hold the spoon too close to the flame, as this will cause the spoon to blacken, and the soot will be transferred to the candle. Never leave the candle burning unattended,
especially when it has burned down to the decorations.
