Purist decorative tree

Materials
Round block of wood; thick branch; glue or wooden wedges; long branches of evergreen (e.g. conifer); cable ties; ribbon or cord.
Method
- Drill a hole in the center of the round block of wood into which the thick branch fits.
- Place the branch in the hole. You can secure the branch with glue or wooden wedges.
- Wrap a piece of cord around the thick branch for a nice finish.
- Attach the long evergreen branches to the upper end of the thick branch with cable ties. A little dexterity is required to create a beautiful shape.
- Cover the cable ties with cord or ribbon.
- A chain of lights could provide a little more atmosphere.
- Now, the funny purist tree is ready.
Tip
If you don't have a drill to make the hole you need for the thick branch, ask a carpenter if he can do the work for you. By the way: even small trees like company. So, make several at once. It looks more casual.
